  • Then choose those works that provide a variety of perspectives on your text. .

You must do all of the following:

2. Write a concise annotation just after the citation in which you:
            a. summarize the central theme and scope of the book or article.
            b. evaluate the authority or background of the author or the credibility of
     the source
c. comment on the intended audience for the source
d. explain how this work illuminates your research and helps you support
      your claim

Some questions to keep in mind while evaluating your sources. You may even mention these things in your annotations.

If it is a website you are evaluating, you should address how valid the source is and how current the information on that source is.  Does the website have an author? Does it have a publication date? How organized is the information? Does help you with your research? Can you use this in your paper? Also, include any quotes that you find helpful for your paper.
