1st: Use research methods to discover at least 3 scholarly texts to include in an annotated bibliography (Heuristic 11) and at least 3 more thereafter, for a total of at least 6 reliable and appropriate sources

2nd: Write a first-person narrative of the research process

- Discuss insights gained through research

- Make a tentative, considered thesis or claim based on evidence examined

- Carefully demonstrate the complexity of the research issue

- Cite sources in text with parenthetical references

- Integrate skills of summary, problematizing, analysis, and argument

- Provide a Works Cited page with sources in MLA style

- 6-8 pages, not counting the Works Cited page
