International tourism

You are to analyze an issue on international tourism and demonstrate your opinion on the case. The paper should discuss the issue in 3 different perspectives; 1) from the perspective of the host community, 2) as a representative of a tourism related organization (travel business or organizational framework), and 3) as an international tourist. The paper should be around 1500 words long. Examples of cases include (but are not limited to)

- Impacts of different types of tourism such as sex tourism in Southeast Asia, medical tourism, ecotourism in South America, Wildlife tourism in Africa...)

- In-depth discussion/research on the issues discussed in class (rural tourism, dark touris, sport tourism, event tourism...)

-Destination specific issues (Cruise passengers in Caribbean states, Chicago's international tourism marketing, branding Scandinavia as a tourism destination, commercialization of Masai culture for tourism...)
